Find Randolph County Traffic Court

Start with the court that holds the case. A Randolph County traffic court matter lands in Superior Court or Union City City Court, and the citation ties to a hearing date and an outcome. Try the ticket lookup first. MyCase or the official state payment route often works for eligible citations. Otherwise the Clerk can help by phone, by mail, or at the counter, which matters when a ticket is missing. One caution: these court records are not a state driver record. They show the case behind the citation, the plea, the payment, the setting, and the result.

Traffic Case Records in Randolph County

Venue comes down to numbers. Under the local allocation rule, every Title 9 vehicle offense goes to Randolph Superior Court, 68D01. Some other rule may send it elsewhere. Union City City Court, 68H02, handles the city cases filed there. Winchester City Court no longer exists. Parker City, Farmland, and Lynn offer no traffic portals of their own.

Two things control where a case lives. One is the court printed on the citation. The other is the court field in MyCase. The court file itself holds the citation, the plea, every setting, court costs, and the final outcome. Paying through an online interface settles one transaction. It does not replace the Chronological Case Summary or the case file the Clerk keeps.

Randolph County Traffic Ticket Lookups

Begin with the paper ticket. Its citation number, issuing court, and printed appearance date make the tightest possible search. MyCase takes a case number, citation number, or cross-reference. It has a name mode too. Narrow it to Randolph County, Union City City Court, or Criminal and Citation records for cleaner results.

  1. Read the citation number, issuing agency, court, and date from the ticket.
  2. Search the citation in MyCase using only one case-mode identifier.
  3. Select Randolph County or Union City City Court and open the CCS.
  4. Call Superior at (765) 584-3309, Union City Court at (765) 964-5968, or the Clerk at (765) 584-4214 if no result appears.
  5. Visit or mail the Clerk at 100 South Main Street, Room 201, Winchester, when an official copy is needed.

Randolph Traffic Payment Channels

The official Indiana court services page links the statewide ePay traffic service.

Payment options vary by court and by ticket. If ePay doesn't show your ticket, it may be too new, ineligible, already resolved, or filed in a different venue.

The Randolph Clerk also runs PayGOV for local payments, and it requires a cause number. Card fees run $1 for amounts up to $33. Above that they run 3 percent, phone payments included. Those are transaction fees, not court-record copy charges.

Traffic Court Dates in Randolph County

The date printed on the citation is your first deadline. Confirm it through MyCase. You can also use the filed notice or order, or call the court itself. A payment deadline is never a hearing notice. Asking for more time changes nothing until the court grants it.

Randolph County posts no separate daily calendar feed. A CCS can carry a stale date after a reset, so when dates conflict, the later order and direct word from the court win.

Randolph Traffic Court Channels

Superior Court answers setting and venue questions on its Title 9 cases. Union City Court handles everything under 68H02. The unified Clerk serves as both record counter and payment counter, so the citation tells you which office to call first.

No local chart spells out defensive-driving or deferred-disposition eligibility, fees, or deadlines. Ask the court named on your citation rather than assuming a statewide illustration applies to you.

Paying a Ticket vs Fighting It

Paying a ticket is not a neutral move. If you plan to contest the citation, follow its printed response date and contact the court instead of using a payment path. No local online schedule exists for defensive driving or deferred disposition.

Do not ignore the printed date: failure to appear or answer can lead to court action and a report to BMV under Indiana law.

Randolph Failure-to-Appear Entries

Miss a court date or fail to answer, and the consequences can pile up: a CCS entry, warrant process, and a report from the court to the BMV in the situations Indiana law describes. A generic label alone tells you nothing about one citation's status. Read the actual entry. Then contact the assigned court.

The Indiana BMV explanation notes that a court report can affect driving privileges until the person appears, the case is disposed, and required payment is made. That is not a blanket Randolph deadline. The citation and the court record control.

Two Records: Court File and Driver File

Two files, two keepers. The Randolph traffic case sits in the court record; the BMV driver record is a state licensing file. The court file covers the citation's filing, plea, settings, payment, and disposition. Neither file can answer for the other.

Keep that distinction in mind, and a Randolph County traffic court search stays aimed at the public court case and its date.

Traffic Record Copy Fees

MyCase lets you view a public traffic CCS online, but an official paper copy comes only from the Clerk. The county publishes no dedicated copy form. Your request should list the case or citation number, the document title and date, the number of copies, whether you want certification, your contact details, and how you want delivery.

Ordinary letter or legal copyNot more than $1 per page
Certificate under seal$1 per certificate
State infraction-cost example$139 total example
Randolph PayGOV card fee$1 through $33; 3 percent above $33

The infraction figure in the state manual is an illustration, not a quote for every Randolph case. Filing costs, a court balance, a transaction fee, and a copy charge are four different things. Ask the Clerk for the live amount.

Randolph Uniform Traffic Case Numbers

Indiana's uniform format breaks a case number into parts. Those parts are court identifier, year and month, case type, and sequence. County code 68 and the court segment do the routing. A 68D01 prefix points to Superior; 68H02 points to Union City City Court.

The type codes are simple. IF means infraction and OV means ordinance violation. But the code alone proves nothing about the outcome. For that, read the full CCS, the plea, the disposition, and any order. When searching a number in MyCase, you can leave out hyphens and leading zeroes.

Older Randolph Tickets and Records

Randolph Circuit and Superior courts joined Odyssey in December 2021. Anything older arrived as converted data. Those records may carry fewer images or vague converted-event labels. Don't assume the worst when the portal misbehaves. Payment systems and court records sit in separate systems. A portal failure never means the case file vanished.

When an old ticket is missing online, call the Clerk. Have the citation or legacy reference, the name, and a rough date ready. Ask which court holds the file and whether a balance remains. Also ask how to request the CCS or disposition. Repeated portal searches cannot fix an archive gap.

One quirk remains. The court selector still lists the abolished Winchester City Court code for historical cases. Pick that option only when the older record truly shows 68H01. A current Winchester citation goes by its printed court and its modern MyCase entry instead.

Randolph Traffic Access Boundaries

Traffic and ordinance files can show public orders while other papers stay limited under Indiana's access matrix. Personal identifiers get redacted. Sealed material stays closed unless a lawful route applies. The Indiana e-filing help page from the state courts explains how filings move electronically.

E-filing delivers documents to the court. It is not the public ticket search, a payment portal, or the case record itself.

Closed is not sealed. A ticket missing from ePay could be ineligible, new, old, already handled, or routed elsewhere. Check MyCase and the Clerk first. The Randolph County court schedule page explains how to confirm a court date.

MyCase results stop at 1,000. Its file-date fields will not search by hearing date. Narrow a broad ticket search using court, citation number, category, and status. If the citation has not posted yet, the issuing court and the Clerk can point to the next verified step.
